JETRO Business Matching of
Japanese Seafood in Singapore 2019

The largest Japanese ingredients business matching and seminar is here! Different from the past two editions, this year's theme emphasizes on seafood. As the popularity of Japanese cuisine continues to rise worldwide, Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) have put together this business matching and seminar to promote the highest quality and freshest Japanese ingredients for export, in hopes to support the expansion of sales channels for marine/fishery products outside Japan.
To be held at At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy this year, JETRO have invited over 30 marine products manufacturers and trading companies from Japan, who are very keen to establish business opportunities with local distributors and restaurant owners. These exhibitors are looking to explore partnerships and business opportunities in Singapore for their fresh and authentic produce. In addition, participants will be able to sample these unique seafood and fishery products brought all the way from Japan by the exhibitors.

The land of Japan is 3,000 km wide from North to South. A huge range of different marine produce can be caught during varying seasons and areas. The attractiveness in Japanese foods lies in the seasonal tastes that changes from Spring, Summer, Autumn, to Winter. In our past seminars, we successfully introduced many marine products. This time, Oysters from Mie Prefecture will be introduced as the AVA (Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore) has approved of the import of oysters from Mie to Singapore in December, 2018. This amazing feat is the first for Japan’s oysters and we are proud to bring you the oysters that are rich, creamy and properly groomed and raised in the beautiful ocean. Free tasting of these oysters will be available.
